Is there a membership fee? +
No — joining the network is free. INTERCLIME is a collaborative research and advocacy network, not a paid membership service.
Can early-career researchers get involved? +
Yes. Capacity-building for early-career researchers, particularly those based in the Global South, is one of the network's core objectives, alongside mentoring and training opportunities.
How do I propose a collaborative project or paper? +
Members can propose joint research, funding applications, or co-authored publications through the network. Use the Join Now form to get in touch and outline your idea.
Where is the network based? +
INTERCLIME is a distributed, global network. Current members are based at institutions across the UK, Germany, Austria, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Mexico.
How is the network funded? +
Individual member projects draw on a range of funders, including Wellcome Trust, AHRC, the British Council and EU H2020. The network itself does not charge fees to members.
What disciplines are represented? +
Mostly medical anthropology, public health, political science, sociology, bioethics and nursing — brought together around a shared interest in climate, health, gender and culture.
How often does the network meet? +
There's no fixed meeting schedule. Working groups convene around specific projects, funding calls and events, with occasional network-wide dialogue forums.
Can practitioners and non-academics join, not just researchers? +
Yes — INTERCLIME welcomes practitioners, advocates and community partners alongside academic researchers. The network's strength comes from bringing different kinds of expertise together.

A space for the network's own community — sharing opportunities, resources and updates between members. Access details are shared once you join.
Does INTERCLIME publish its research openly? +
Members are encouraged to publish openly where possible, and the network's own outputs — policy briefings, commentaries and joint papers — are shared through the online knowledge hub.
